  6. Richie says:

It was good to hear that phone call. I am 23yrs old, 5’9, 140lbs, 15% bf and also from the UK.

To buy that food in the meal plan every day would be very expensive here in the UK even though it’s only around 2000 calories. Food costs a lot more here than USA. I hope Andrew can afford it all lol.

  7. LEX says:

Andrew, a year is along time! Take it one meal at a time, one workout at a time…stay foucased on that workout, that set, that rep…make Everyone count.

*** Kev, i believe it is a great thing as a BB,Now out of the pro game that your giving back to the sport that give to you.

Best to you Andrew, train hard.

    LEX

  8. steve o says:

Andrew- Train hard and never get discouraged, your gains will most likely come slowly but they will be quality gains.

Kev- Youre the man! Giving back great knowledge and wisdom to the community after several years of competing professionally. Should have been the winner for an Olympia!

  9. paul says:

yep andrew youre a lucky guy,im in the uk too and i’d love to have Kevin coach me although i have the opposite problem to you.you better believe i’ll be entering the competition to get Kevin in my corner too!!

Kevin, nothing but respect and admiration for you bud, after years not training you and this site have got me back in the gym training harder then i ever have before(and seeing some good results)
Really looking forward to seeing Andrews results in time…im sure it will inpire us all
    Good luck mate

  10. Michel R says:

Lots of useful info… If Andrew follows his individual diet up to the letter, he’ll probably make more than the 15 pounds of extra beef over the course of a year. I’m curious how the lean weightgain will go. Hopefully Andrew can find the time to take a few before pictures and take them as the transformation goes along. Well, if not for the community, definitely for himself, cos it’s hard to see it by just the naked eye in mirror…

I’ve learned one important and valuable lesson again… To really get nutrition down, you need to be methodical…

Michel R, off for a new run, out

  11. Norweigian says:

Im stil with u guys. Aint get rid of me. Anyway, i didnt have time to listen to the calls, cause i need to sleep in two hours and i want to put a biceps/traps routine in there first. But i do wanna say, Kevin looks great. Big and lean like a green fightingmachine. And focused and sharpe even when talking to a nobody. (oyeah, had to mess things up this time also). Thats good cause often when champs give some time to others, their head, thougths and even eyes are way out of line. Good Kevin!. I fill in more later on, but i do need some top biceps moves now. The lack of external testo in my body, due to the cyclingending, causes some internal problems cause my natural production has taken some weeks off and thats bad news for my muscles. So i have to double the effort and proteinintake. I know you really dont give a shit lol, but anyway….see ya!

  12. mark UK says:

Great video! good sound info! and i hope Andrew enjoys seeing the difference in himself over the next 12 months!

  13. david duquemin says:

wow good vid and def took sum info and notes down kev!! i hope he does does well and gives it his all and really trys cause i bet theres people on this site that would do anything to have kevin levrone to help them on and phone them and stuff!! it is very dear eating lots when u do body building but u just look for things on offer and u can always work something out to get all that food !! u have to ? anyway takecare every 1!!! and u to for sure kev !! ur my hero lol

  14. Eric says:

    Hi kev!

    Thanks for a great blogg.

Having a question to you. Don’t you think one week is to much rest for each muscle group? We all know that muscles are ready for a new attack 3-5 days after a workout. Of course it’s individual, but I should be glad if you would discuss this subject on your blogg. It’s very interesting. What’s your own experience about less period of rest?

  15. Lancer says:

    Hello Kevin,
that’s very informative and helpful. I’ve been taking notes by myself also.
    Good luck to U.

    Igor

  16. Andy says:

Kevin. What quality you add as a service in this blog.
Best to Andrew in his growth…
    Watching and cheering… Andy…

  17. Phil says:

    This is great stuff!!!

Andy, make Kevin and all of us at the Levrone Report proud mate! You have got this!

Regards food here in the UK. Yes prices are orbital, especially fresh. So what I do is I buy everything in bulk and mostly frozen. I get all my chicken and fish frozen, I can get a bag of about 8 chicken breasts (skinless and boneless) for £3 and about 12 fillets of white fish also for £3. Eggs I get 15 for £1.50 and I get about 10 packs every time I shop there. God I get some funny looks when I get to the cashier lmao!

Hope that helps, all the best everone

  18. Geoffrey smith says:

i thinks its great how levrone is giving back to the community and he really inspires me to be the best that i can be and to better myself not only in bodybuilding but life in general.I am 17 and plan to compete at some point when i am happy about my body and this blog always keeps me on track when things get tough and i question myself. None of my friends do not agree with my goals and think it is a waste of time but i am doing it for myself and cant please evreybody. i also did not have any guidance when i first started the gym but i was dertimed and willing to learn and have learnt alot about nutrition and training by simply reaserching and talking to people. I wiegh 210 at the moment and am 12% bodyfat.I worked really hard to get there and i believe the only way is up from here but i also believe the climb and the things you put yourself through to get where you want to be have been an amazing part of my journey. So whether its financial problems or problems with friends and family i always stay dertimed because i believe that my goals can be achieved if i really want them that much i will do anything to get them. Anyway good luck andrew i hope you achieve your goals not evreyone gets an oppurtunity like you so make the most of it.Finally i would like to say that i hope evreyone keeps the community going and that kevin keeps supporting it as it has played a big part in my life as it is nice to go somewhere where evreyone is dealing with the same problems and has the same goals because i always get a sense of belonging when i log onto the levrone report. Thanks kevin your amazing and have been a really great role model!

  19. jonno8 says:

Im soo jealous, i’d do anything to get advice from my hero, or to just talk to him! this kid better not take this for granted, im sure he wont though, andrew sounds pretty switched on for a 17 year old. What a great way to start your bodybuilding journey with advices form the greatest…

  20. jonno8 says:

Maybe it’s just me but andrew seems abit shy, i know i would be if i was talking to kevin for the second time also… i hope as this relationship moves on, andrew can ask some question about anything in regards to building that we dont already know about kevins best moments or life changing moments in bodybuilding or different meal plans, because its the perfect opputunity!

  21. Danny-Northern Ireland says:

Damn , for some reason I can’t watch these videos,!!? Anyone else having similar problems or is is just my Irish Internet??!!

  22. Milos says:

I think all of us are jealous but we are all learning from this and i am thankfull for us much as i can get from this.

  23. AlexKid says:

    Hey Andrew,

Good luck with the program especially the groceries/cooking/eating part! You’ll see what works for you but buying in bulk and planning ahead are good ideas.

Stay dedicated and you’ll see progress right away. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin ups your calories even more after 2 weeks.

  24. Andrew says:

Hi and thanks to everyone on the blog for showing your great support. Just knowing that Kevin and all of you guys on the blog are behind me is a great motivation. I have taken before pics and i will be taking pics over the course of the year and i will then have them posted so that everyone can see the transformation. All of the work i will be doing over the course of the year in the gym will be very challenging and tough but the motivation from kevin and everyone on the levrone report makes it possible for me to give it 100%. Thank you

  25. emery_rn says:

@Andrew, good info and good for you! Hope you make fantastic gains.

@Norwegian, I know how bad that sucks with your T-levels. Training and maintaining mass seems like a huge chore when your body is in that state! Sounds like you are doing the right things though with diet/lifting. Good luck!

    @Everyone, have a great weekend!

  26. Asmir K. says:

    “Roster of champions,” ahaha. :)

Great to see you coaching Andrew, hope he grows quick.

  27. PhilB says:

I felt exhausted just listening to the chest, shoulders and tris routine :) I’ve always been under the impression that when going natural, you better stick with a single body part (or two at most) per workout. I know I’d definitely wouldn’t be able to keep up with that routine. I guess it’s a matter of volume vs intensity. Kudos to those who can handle this routine, I envy you! :)

  28. PhilB says:

And i’d add that these videos made me realize that I really don’t eat enough. I’m 6 feet 240lbs with mostly mesomorph body type (which gives me that “club bouncer” look from what I’m regularly told) but I probably eat like what? half of what’s being prescribed to Andrew?! I’m turning 37 and my mbr is much slower than his but no wonder why my progress have almost staled in the last 6-9 months.

  29. Richard -Jamaica says:

My splits have always been four days splits. Chest shoulders and triceps are a bit much for me in one day so i train shoulders with calfs because they are my slowest body part. Will try this split for six weeks and see how it goes.
    kev,
For persons who cannot eat that much what advice do you have. Food is expensive and also just eating that much is a turnoff for me. Will try the water though.

    My usual routine
    Day one: Chest, Traps, Tricepts
    Day two: Back, Biceps, Forearms
    Day Three: Legs, LowerBack
    Day four: Shoulder, Calfs

    Any advice from the forum

  30. Michael says:

Couldn’t have a better coach, looked up to you Kevin throughout the years, your training is motivation till the end, coolest guy ever w/ awesome style….BTW saw you at Diamond Gym on MD behind Rodney Roller! Awesome surprise…

  31. Jovan says:

@Richard -Jamaica: In order to build muscles you have to eat a lot. Nothing will make you big if you don’t eat a lot.

Kevin, neat advices. I guess it is most usual problem with many bodybuilding enthusiasts – they don’t eat enough. Food is very expansive when you have to eat big. When you include all important supplements [joint support, energy (creatine/arginine based supplements), recovery, proteins] it is one of the most expensive sports.

Kevin, next time, please use some better recording device. The one (maybe mobile phone?) you used for recording squat and flat bench press challenges would be nice. ;)

  32. moz says:

Man this Pom sounds so boring/dead/ungrateful !!! Wake up your talking to a KING of the bodybuilding sport…

  33. Dane says:

    Thanks for a great blogg.

  34. Alexander says:

Hey kevin. nice videos, and thanks alot for sharing!, tough i got a question.

When you say 4 sets after warmup. do mean every one of those 4 sets should be taken to maximum exhaust? not do like you did during your transformation and upping the weight making the fourth set or the third and foruth set the most intensive? And his diet plan. do you think he should eat like that, even on off days?

  35. marty says:

Who can give me advice about sore tendons and inflamed tendons. When is the smart time to take a little brake?

  36. emery_rn says:

@Marty, if they are sore/inflamed, take a day off and ice them down for 20 minutes a couple of times during the day. Ibuprophen is a non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory drug and will help with inflammation. Take it with a little food as it is hard on the stomach.

Baby the area along for awhile if you have to. If no improvement in the next several days then get a hold of your doctor for a check up. I have tennis elbow in my left arm and a healed partial rotator cuff tear in left shoulder and everyone once in a while, I have to get a Solu-Medrol dose pack to take down the inflammation!

Anyways, friendly advice from a registered nurse. Good luck bro!

  37. marty says:

Thanks i will do, ice is work but if I want to grow I best get on it….

  38. Ron says:

Hey Kevin and everyone at the Levronereport.com. I have finally registered on here and this is my first post. Im Ron, full-time firefighter/EMT in Kentucky. Ive been keeping up with all the transformations Kev and like what you have given the community with this website.

I wanted to say congrats to Andrew for this awesome opportunity that Kev has given you. Keep up the hard work and you will reach your goals. With you being 145 lbs., you still have a lot of growing left. Diet is definitely a big key and with you having a high metabolism, you have to eat all the time just to pack the pounds on. Even myself standing 6 foot and weighing in at 225 lbs., I have to eat a lot as well. Sometimes I get up to 5,000 calories a day and I’m still hungry. lol That is just part of the game.

@Marty, I have to agree with Emery. Rest and Ibuprophen will help. Alleve has helped me when those problems came up and also taking it easy on the heavy weights as well. Certain exercises still make mine flare up, but that is one thing that you have to work through. You think these bodybuilders and champions in the world do not have problems with their joints or anything else wrong with their body? Sure they do, but they keep going, rest, work through it, ignore it, whatever you have to do to become the best.

Keep up the hard work Kev. We all enjoy this forum very much and thank you for it.

    Ron out.

  39. KING_PEACH says:

@Danny-Northern Ireland Try a different web browser.. try Firefox the videos should load fine.

@Andrew stick to that diet plan. I guarantee @ 17 you will put on 15lbs of good size in less then a year, I wish I had this knowledge when I was 17.

Also I know Kevin didn’t mention this because hes probably focusing on a super clean diet for you. But from time to time I would get in a nice pasta meal , at least once a week, maybe on the week ends as a cheat meal. The meal may make eating extra protein hard for that day, but the added glycogen can greatly enhance body mass and weight for a day or even 2 after, and really helps with natural strength.. I think carrots work great for strength as well.

  40. KING_PEACH says:

@Marty .. take some aspirins and some oranges for natural vitamins.. Also take a good 7 – 14 days off.. Inflamed tendons can turn into bad tendentious. It has happened to me where I had to stop training biceps for 8 months. I pushed it to the limit before my dumb ass stopped.. If I had only listen to friends I could have prevented it.. But the urge to train was to much LOL.. never the less training back keeps a lot of good size in the arms with out training biceps directly..

glucosamine helped allot as well. Inflamed biceps are also a good sign you over trained!
“Inflamed muscle do not heal”.. So training them with out taking enough time off .. THEY WILL NOT GROW !!!

  41. irons says:

Marty, out ice on it several times a day, and some Bengay or Biofreeze.

  42. zaak says:

one thing i have taken on board from you kevin is making myself a better person giving, having respect for myself and others around i have also learnt alot about myself.
the nutrition advice you gave andrew sounds good to me and i went and bought all the food for the next week im going to try it! thanks
one adjustment i made from baked potatoe was i added quality pasta spaghetti and bought some nice fruity extra virgin olive oil and tossed it through the pasta but left everything else!
cant wait to see some new full training workouts from you
im going to try put one up myself finidng a camera man is just the problem!
    peace out big man

  43. Danny-Northern Ireland says:

@KING_PEACH thanks bro it’s workin fine now. Good luck Andrew m8, my metabolism is like yours so I’ll be doing This with you bro. Peace

  44. thundermik says:

@andrew: hey man, you probably should try to find pasteurized egg whites, if not doing so right now.
it can be much easier to prepare a breakfast when all you have to do is to take the whites from a bottle.
besides, it doesn’t waste the yolks and is cheaper…

    good luck!

  45. Matt says:

Found your blog on Yahoo and was so glad i did. That was a quick read. I have a small question.

Is it OK if i send you an email???…

  46. Richie Aponte says:

Eating all dat food can become pricey…but there is always a way to get it done economicly…..potatoes, cans of tuna, eggs, fresh veggies, ground meat, pasta, those items u can get away wit without breakin the pockets….good luck andrew…..PHILLY POWERHOUSE BABY!!!

  47. marty says:

King peach, thanks thats where im at, my Biceps tendons are starting to get inflamed and my shoulders as well.Wy I have a hard time not working the weights is crazy.IM almost 37 and have a landscaping company, with alot of labor……

  48. Spacemarine says:

Unfortunately the damn tuna is getting more and more expensive. Last time i paid 1,67 € for 125g tuna :(

Probably because the japanese eat tuna-sushi as if there was nothing else :P

  49. Brandon says:

    Hello Kevin,

Thankyou for being such a great mentor on so many levels. You are a great mentor to andrew about how to eat and train, as well as a great mentor to us about how to teach a less knowledgeable person a lesson that can help them out.

    TO NORWEIGEN:
If you have come off of a cycle, it is time for some (HCG) human chorionic gonadotropin to restart the testosterone production that was turned off by your external testosterone supply. Also, you should be on an estrogen blocker to reduce the risk of Gynecomastia. You may try Arimidex (Anastrozole) to block the estrogen receptors while your hormone levels normalize. I don’t support the use of anabolic agents, but I do believe that you should take care of yourself if you do choose to use them. Good Luck!

Back to Everyone, I am really looking forward to following Andrew’s transformation! I wish you all of the best of luck in all your future endeavors!

    I’m out Baby!

    Brandon

  50. emery_rn says:

    @Brandon,

Good lookin out bro! Good advice!

  51. Ghoetic says:

Hey kevin, I just turned 18 two days ago, i started training 1 year ago, its amazing. personally i am really satisfied with my results so far. I have decided to follow andrews workout and nutrition. I can say i have higher fat levels then andrew, so il see what i can do. Anyway you said we have to earn the second spot on this journey. And i am willing to do whatever it takes to join in on this. Take pictures, record videos talk about my life and why i want this! i hope i get the chance!

  52. Justice says:

Kevin, I think you should pick me to train next!
I’m also a young guy, 16 years old living in Canada.
Iv’e been training pretty intensely (for my age) for about a year and gained a lot of weight.
But i want to learn howto manage my weight properly through proper training and nutrition, so I can exceed my training goals.

    Thanks brother,
    Justice

  53. Chris (UK) says:

Keep at it Andrew, i started lifting in a similar manner to you and if you can program yourself to follow your meal paln and routine you cant go wrong. ps youd be surprised how much food you you will end up needing!
Looking forward to the blog in 2010 Kev, im fired up and ready to tackle it- gonna lock down and focus. Ill take a few progress photos to share at the end as im not really one for the line light but Id like to give something back. peace guys

  54. marty says:

Andrew.we should know your bench max,and squat max.In one year you should easily go up 100 lbs on those! With Kevs help it should be easy. When I was 15 back in 1989 my max for bench was 100lbs.One year later 210 I did that all on my own. With Kevs help man you best nail this. Please realize Kevin was one of the best ever…..He was consistantly in all the muscle mags always in the top 5.He is a favorite of even the great Arnold…..you are so lucky andrew.Late Marty in Seattle.

  55. KING_PEACH says:

Hey Marty your bicipitalis medialis and your M. biceps brachii shoot up under your shoulder. so alot of your shoulder pain may be caused by the bicep inflammation. Also since your bicep is inflamed and weakened your shoulder is now taken an extra added overload. More then normal states. Plus your work load..

Ya bro your gona need some time off.. stick with your diet and you wont lose to much size.. also since we have good muscle memory.. ( which Kevin has clearly proven :-) ) the rest will do you some good. and you will come back bigger then ever :-)

  56. Six pack abs says:

What are some good foods for ab workouts?

  57. Norweigian says:

Brandon, agreed, but i cant get any HCG these days. I do not have the connections needed anymore, cause im a familyman now. And i guess nearly all the old guys have turned into some other occupations nowadays. I know this guy, Christian, but he doesnt have access to it all. Some testo now and then, but he cannot get specific orders:-) For gyno, i never had that problem and i stil dont. Even if, hm..i think it was Joe, that little sucker, said i had bitchtits on my pics. Well, the pics lied. It was the angle or the lightning. I never had tits. NEVER.

Anyway, i have some difficult questions again. Im not satisfied with this blog anymore. It was the best, but now its very ordinary. Not an XO. And due to the respect of us true builders, i think we earn some answers on what to expect. Will there be another transformation? When does it start? Or will it be random exercices without the goal of the true bodybuilder or weitghlifter. Is this site going to be more like “how to” and instructions? Is Kevin feeling better with the teaching stuff than showing more from his got given tallent?
Why this questions? Because i log into this site everyday with great expectations due to the incredible 2009 and i just think its time for giving som hard rock facts on whats up with Kevin. Or admiting that the journey fills in as we walk from day to day and there is no plans and the route is not set.
Why this?. Because as a full blown bodybuilder im used to serious structure years ahead and i kind of expect this from a bodybuilding site too. Bodybuilding IS structure nomatter what. Even if you`re just gonna be a 1 day a week bodybuilder, the structure is major. Or else you`re waisting time and space.
Kevins is definatly the guru of structuring and he has shown that many times ofcourse. Therefor i think its time for writing the 2010targets on the wall.

    • @ Norweigian, did you miss the post explaining what’s next ? please read below.

This year you can expect more training videos that will cover the whole body, and more cardio as well – along with plenty of detailed instruction, advice and inspiration.

Remember, where I am in my endless transformation is not necessarily where you are. Some of us need to lose fat. Others need to bulk up in certain areas. We’re all on different journeys.

The one journey we share in common is the journey we walk together as men of courage and dignity.

We all have different goals, but we can approach them according to one code: self mastery, overcoming obstacles, following our hearts and taking the high road.

There will be people who say to you “I don’t like your choices, I don’t like your goals, they don’t interest me!” I’ve been hearing that my entire adult life. I’ve learned that you can’t please everyone. You follow your heart… and eventually you’ll find your place in the world, and the people who understand.

It’s my hope that this blog, this community, is a place where we can encourage each other to pursue excellence while refraining from judgement regarding individual goals.

In other words, at LevroneReport.com we don’t tell you what your goal should be, we just help you get there. Please keep that philosophy in mind before you comment and participate in the blog.

  58. Spacemarine says:

Plan for 2010: Kick Jay Cutler´s ass…(sorry i was dreaming)

  59. Alexandar says:

damn, i can’t wait to see what it takes to be chosen alongside Andrew

i hope people from non-English speaking countries stand a chance :)

  60. marty says:

KING peach,ya im taking 10 days of for upper body, then I will do 12 /15 reps. This sucks I started taking some new supps 4 weeks ago.Norweigian I know what you meen.Kevin is making this best for himself so he can get a wide audiance.Bodybuilding is like a Religon Kevs trying to get new younger guys in here.We can help them too.I think Kevin is smart and right now this is the best he can do.So whats your max Norweigian?on Incline I can do 280 3 times.

  61. steve o says:

@ Kevin Levrone- well said, the inspiration on this blog is most important and taking that inspiration to use it for your own goals is what it is all about!

Kev is it possible that you post more of your ab routines as you are trying to achieve your goal as a perfect combination of size stregnth and stamina?

  62. david duquemin says:

  65. Danny-Northern Ireland says:

Haha I laughed when I read that Mark lol nice 1 m8!

  66. Danny-Northern Ireland says:

I agree with Steve O, I think Kevin should maybe post some more vids detailing ab workouts that are effective if you want the 6 PAC lol

  67. Michel R says:

Well said, Kev… As another member who’s been around since day one, I want to air the other opinion who actually likes the way this blog is going. Always serving the same kind of food, tends to be very dull… We need to step outside of the box… For instance, I particularly liked the canyonrun from almost seven months ago… it’s outside of the gym and was very entertaining. @ Norweigian

I recently posted a video at “The fire that inspires” wearing a t-shirt with NORWAY on the front. Just to let everyone know that Norway is also present. No bullshit off course.

Come on man, show that big body in action lifting some serious weight.

It is about the journey. If we speed up the journey and get to the destination too quickly, we miss the whole trip. I want to enjoy the trip. Nothin worth having comes easy, we all know that as intelligent and dedicated men!

I am on a journey right now losing fat! I am trying to preserve as much muscle mass as I can! I am getting there but this is a life long journey for me. I have made this a way of life for myself. I am proud to call myself a bodybuilder but even prouder to say I live by a code that consists of loyalty, dedication and service to my fellow human-being!

Good luck to all and keep fighting the good fight!

    PEACE!

Kevin talked about nutrition again but I allways wonder where or how fruit comes into a bodybuilder’s diet. It is never mentioned. Does it do more harm than good? Egg whites, chicken, beef, rice, selected vegetables, water and other important food are (and should) always be present. But what about fruit? I actually LOVE fruit! ;)
My BEST wishes to the people in Haiti (the ones who survived and the ones who are now helping them).

I’d have to honestly say I tried more ways over the years than I can count to maintain healthy appearing breasts, including high intensity exercises for sweating, organic foods, running, etc. But, in the most recent months years I’ve pinned it down to just a natural surgery/liposuction and healthy diet. Why? Because I was happy to see how effective the results were.

Kevin, huge fan man. Just now catching up on all of your months. 2200 cals seems a bit low, is that because of his size? I did notice that you’re trying to put the muscle on over a year period, so I’m assuming he’ll increase calories as the year goes on. Eating is huge for gaining mass, I went from 185 to 215 this winter at 6’1″. I didn’t put on all good weight so I cut to about 200 lbs for the summer. Two questions, where do you work out in MD? I noticed all the gyms looked different. I used to work at Gold’s Gym Brooklyn, I think your cousin used the facilities there. I currently workout at Merritt Athletic Club in Baltimore. Also, what do you think of Waximaize? This time around I won’t be eating so much sugar and will be using this product instead to get my carbs up to 7 or 800 a day to get to 230. Thanks man and I love the blog.
