TLR – A Proud Father & Son Squat Team !

I’m proud to present this video of a proud father and son hitting squats as a team. Working together brings many positive results but there is something extraordinary that happens when reality sets in.

It takes a great deal of courage, stamina and heart to go through a leg training session such as this but in the end it is well worth the pain, sweat and the occasional regurgitation of one’s stomach contents. Cody has a lot of potential but this little lion needed to know what it feels like to walk the talk. No Pain No Gain Baby.

This weekend we have the Maryland State Body Building Fitness Bikini competition in Baltimore MD. I Hope to see some of you guys there, My friend IFBB Pro Shawn Ray will be the guess MC. Congrats to IFBB Pro Richard Siegelmen for promoting a great show every year. More info go to www.marylandnpc.com

Enjoy,
Kevin

TLR – Training Back

After going through this back injury, the last thing on my mind is to pile on the weight and fore go any precautions. When you aggravate a former injury, you can easily compound the situation and distance yourself further from the iron. Listening to your body and taking the advice of your physician is crucial. These are two basic back training exercises that can be done to strengthen the lower lumbar region.

Also been contemplating this idea that’s been running through my mind as you’ll see in the beginning of this video. Let me know what’s on your mind.

peace,
Kevin

Lloyd Marcus Standing Strong

I wanted to share with you some inspiration I received yesterday, in person, from my lifelong friend Lloyd Marcus. While I try to keep this blog focused directly on training, I also want to periodically share with you things that can help you indirectly with your training. Lifting technique is certainly critical to success, but understanding fundamental ways to persevere and win in life is equally important to achieving long-term success in any endeavor and this especially applies to building muscle and changing a physique.

Lloyd is one of life’s great winners. He is a man who has been up, suffered hardship and returned to the summit. He is a great metaphor for what we all experience in the gym. I’d encourage you to check out his page and read his story, for I think you’ll find some inspiration not only for your own life, but also for your workouts. I’m confident if you lift like Lloyd lives, you will achieve the extra bulk, size and strength you are seeking.

TLR – Frankierb – Back and Biceps

Welcome to the world of Frank “The Tank” Robinson, a workhorse who makes no excuses and knows exactly what needs to be done. Being a disciple of the iron and robust family man takes a great deal of tenacity and strong will. Putting in upwards of sixteen hours of work and then having that unwavering ability to still train is a quality that very few people possess. Frankierb is the exception. Follow along as he shows all of us his training techniques for both back and biceps.

Also check in every week as Frank hosts The Muscle and the Mouth show where he tackles topics in bodybuilding, nutrition and life:
Muscle and the Mouth Show

On another side note, Frank is following one of his goals of entering his 1st competition.  We at TLR will support you 100 percent.

I have always believed our bad times don’t last forever as long as you never quit or never give up, you will never loose no matter how long it takes – Kevin Levrone

peace
