Many of you have been sending in questions regarding nutrition and training. I will try my best to answer these accordingly every week. Any additional questions can be sent to my email: levrone2000@yahoo.com
Back is still on the mend and I hope to join the rest of you back in the gym soon.
Kevin
That’s a lot of flounder. I think I would be sick of eating that much every day, but I guess there is a cost to success. Glad you answered the morning cardio question as I had the same concern about if interfering with muscle gains.
What’s up GC?
Just trying to keep my sanity dealing with two teenagers. Enjoy your son while he his young..before the pod people overtake his personality. You appreciate your own parents a lot more when you have to raise your own kids.
I started BB some time ago and when i first saw a professional i was like “wow they must have a really nice time doing this for living” . But after a while i got onto Shawn Rays Fbook and i watched an interwiev with you and flex where u really opened up about averything that was behind that beautiful body at that time. what really got me was the fact that u all had to go though such a hard time mentally. I think for the average joe like me and 98% of the people who will never get near its really mindchanging to see all this from your perspective. I think a lot of people especially alot of beginners that i know would be deillusionated when they see you talking about the downsides that also come sith that lifestyle. I think it was a great time for you mostly but in that video it sounded like you where on a sharp edge during the contest prep.
7lbs of fish as primary protien, sounds expensive but interesting. I wonder if that is exclusive to Kevin Levrone or if many other pro’s do that for their prep. What springs to my mind is the make up of fish in amino acids is nothing like human protien so there must be breakdown of bodys protien to use it. The body is strange.
Id like to do some experimenting with this, but will work out the cost first, apparently we’re in recession AGAIN..
Thanks for answering those questions.
Fish. Great source of protein and low in animal fat. BUT, depending on which part of the world you live in, people should be aware that eating large quantities of fish can be a problem. Around the Baltic, up near Norway, Sweden etc, the larger fish contain high levels of pollutants. In Sweden, recent warning have been issued not to eat more that one portion of salmon per month! Eating more wont kill you, but there’s evidence of negative health effects behind these warnings that are worth considering.
@jason34 -- This sport at that level is very challenging both mentally and physically. Its like trying to become a NAVY SEAL or MARIN RECON. Jason a select few men are chosen but 98% of young men fail at that level I’m sure they are disillusioned. Some have mental genetics to become successful doctors or attorneys. Some have physical genetics to be great athletes. Some have both my friend. My advice is guys, find out what your good at and share your gift with the world no matter what people say about you. Some where someone is watching and listening to you and you’ll change that persons life forever. Believe me because i was told that i couldn’t be a pro body builder.
Peace
Kevin
Kevin, …. what made it worth ? All the sacrifices ..
Was it the money ? Was it being in control ? Was it earning respect ? Was it standing in top of a list ? Did you have to proof anything for yourself ….. or maybe a combination of factors .. ?
When I speak for myself ….. I’m pretty sure bodybuilding is a control thing ….. having the power of changing my body in a way that I want.
And … another question .. what is you’re definition of success. At the company where I work they tell us to share our successes …… hmmmm …. but man … what is a success ?
7lbs of fish sounds right up my alley being that I don’t eat red meat or pork, unfortunately I have Mr Olympia dreams with canned tuna and soup noodles money. Thank you for the q+a session a couple of questions I had you answered Kevin
Would die to hear your experiences on steroids Kevin. Everybody around knows about it so why dont talk about it.
It would ruin you respect as a good father, bb spokesman, good moral etc etc..??
Training, the pounds of fish, pulls for wideness, barcurls for armsize, gosh we have red that thousand times in the magazines. But its rare rare rare rare the IFBB hall of fame guys dears to get rid of the elephants.
Kids will start cycling?. They will do so no matter what. Maybe some good knowledge will make them use steroids in a safe way.
And is it a fact, that pros really use megasize dosages, ten times the mg Bill Philips described in his book?

Great idea send to me your questions in an email and lets take a look into this. my email is levrone2000@yahoo.com
there is no safe way… only safe way is to not take it. nontheless i would appreciate some backround informations of kevins past jorney and his thoughts of todays bodybuilders. those guys have often serious mental issues as an direct result of their drug usement. i also remember kevin in and interwiev even touching the topic of suicide… i think there is more behind it. todays bodybuilders go to war with themselfes and with their minds. alot of guys cant take it.. take other drugs like cocain and pass away we know alot of names. would like to hear some mor of your story back then kevin.
mb you are not able to tell us because the supplement industries want to keep the shine even when 95% of the people out there know bodybuilders are not clean.
but i have to say @ norw. we are not here to talk about cycles or dosages nor is kevin. i think i speak for alot of dudes here when i say i just would like to take part on kevins experience and his past journey with this topic.

Completely agree…good points. This is the info that everybody wants. For instance…what was your precontest cycle used for your physique in the M3 training DVD? Ok, so maybe you don’t want to be totally specific, but how many mgs of androgens (like testosterone), anabolics (e.g. nandrolone or tren), orals, each, per week? How much growth hormone? How much does synthol factor into the IFBB physique?
@pangloss -- About synthol in the IFBB. On the Olympia 2002 Nasser El Sonbaty showed a monstrous rear bunch of deltas, he was much more than a year earlier, and in general all the previous him years. As he did, so dramatically. Then there were rumors that this were implants or synthol. But on the other hand, it is immediately obvious synthol, artificial balls, not the muscles, no hardness. But he was hard relief, and volume.
What’s up TLR
Hey Kevin , how you feel about “Ceviche” prepared flounder ? cooked in lime juice for those who don’t know. Any negatives with that citrus ?
tbh norwegian i dont think that most of us here want to have an insight into a IFBB cycle. For what reason? what i think is so interesting for everyone out there is the inside view of an ex ifbb pro that has been through all that stuff … being on the edge between life and death. i know that not everyone is the same, shawn ray for example said he never had serious problems but in the interwiev flex and kevin where even touching the suicide topic. in addition to that i remember an interwiev with shawn ray where he talks about his retirement and why he quit… he said that he dont want to risk his life anymore for chasing a shadow in the form of the sandow.
i dont want to here kevin talk openly about steroids that he used .. i would like to hear from him why people take all those risks and enter such a mindstate where they even think about killing themselfes. i would like to hear wht he thinks about todays bodybuilder and the direction all this goes … young dudes putting theire life on the line for a few years of glory in an fringe sport when they dont even get the money supplement industries make by putting them on their product. THATS what i would die to hear from kevin and inside look into whats behind this pumped up cover models who all claim to be natural.
i know that this is an serious topic and i dont even know if kevin is even allowed to talk about this to all of us (mb everybody claims to be natural because the industrie behind them dont want to cause a scandal, but srs everybody knows they are not clean) . If you can kevin let us take part on your experience and your past jorney.
Respect people’s choice to use gear, but have never touched it myself in 25 years of training. Have lost a lot of friends in those years as a direct result of OVER usage, so any information or tips to keep youngsters safe who may be interested in trying it would be a positive action. I still know a lot of guys that are on it and I do see more negative effects than positive ones on the whole. No doubt if KL does decide to discuss the matter it would be one of interest to many people for I’ve reason or another.

Moderate supraphysiological doses of testosterone can provide many benefits for men, with little to no side effects. This has been confirmed in medical studies, using up to 600mg/week for several months with no serious adverse side effects.
Abuse, of course, is another story. Nobody makes it to the Olympia stage without seriously ABUSING androgens. And rarely can these drugs be abused for years on end without negative health consequences. Part of the genetic factor of a pro bodybuilder is whether or not his body can withstand megadoses of androgens in the long-term…
The smart recreational bodybuilder or athlete though can enhance training results, while improving well-being, libido, energy levels, etc., with smart, moderate use.
No disrespect intended here, this is just a question. So, you attest to the championship body you’ve built to “Flounder’ and liver pills? O.K, let’s not talk about the “other” ways guys get championship bodies, but when you think of supplements and diet, you say flounder and mixed veggies? Pardon me for saying, but flounder is a bottom feeding scavenger. a flounder is considered a sea roach, and your saying you built your body, Flex Magazine, Arnold Classic, Mr. O, winningest hall of fame body on flounder and liver pills? No creatine, no protein shakes, BCAA’s, L carnitine, arginine, etc, tribulus, etc. You didn’t even say, Levrone Formula, why?
Sometimes it seems so hard to get good information from you in regards to advice from a man who did it all. People follow the TLR because of you, and all I have seen, respectfully, is dodged questions or vague and generalized answers. C’mon Kev, give us the good dirt and dish the real Bodybuilding secrets we all have been yearning for.
