LEVROLYMPIA 2010 BEGINS

Okay, this is it. The time is now. Whatever you got going on in terms of physique and conditioning, it’s time to step up and make your presence known.

I’m proud to announce the first annual LEVROLYMPIA. The event is being held in the forum, check it out, the explanation is all there. There is a STAGE forum meant for posting images, pictures, and VERY BRIEF explanations, if any. There is a COMMENTARY forum as well, please keep it constructive.

Of course, I too will be getting up on “stage,” in the next two weeks. The event will be closed and locked after May 15th, so make sure to get in before the deadline.

Nothin’ more to say. Let’s do this.

Levrone, OUT.

Training Rishi from the LR Roster Of Champions

Update: Listen to the 4/28 Off Topic Radio interview at  www.offtopicradio.com.

It was an honor to catch up with Rishi in person and go over his training. After a year of striving with you guys online, it’s nice to finally make an in-person connection.

True mastery comes from teaching others, so it’s a privilege to help someone else out and share knowledge – that’s why I started this blog and that’s what it will always be about – a mutually beneficial exchange of wisdom.

I want to thank Rishi for carrying himself like a champion during the workout. Like so many members of the LR community, Rishi showed tremendous heart and the desire to learn.

Watch the video, see if you can apply some of the lessons. Continue to follow Rishi’s progress on the forum, along with our other ROC winners, Alexis and Andrew.

ALWAYS speak up. Your input is what keeps this place humming. There is room here for your voice. Your quest fuels everyone else’s fire, so be sure to share it no matter what.

Become immune to negativity. When haters refuse to listen to reason, the next line of attack is silence. That’s part of carrying yourself like a professional. As a pro on the world stage, I’ve had to filter out thousands of negative voices, choosing instead to focus on the millions of positive ones. Make peace with the voices that come and go, and you will be following in the footsteps of champions.

Get ready to post your pictures and videos for Levrolympia starting May 1st. If you didn’t get the newsletter, sign up now, I’ll send it again to new signups in a day or two.

Chest Workout + Shoulders & Triceps Supersets

Getting to the home stretch guys. Getting ready to take the shirt off and post some pics or videos after May 1st.

I’ll be sending an email shortly explaining the rules for Levrolympia and I’m counting on you to participate no matter what level you’re at. I’m putting myself out there and I know you’ll join me, cause we’re in this together.

Here’s another high-rep, high-intensity workout. Newcomers keep in mind that we’ve done it all through the past 12 months. Low rep heavy weight, high rep light weight, and everything in between.

Right now my goal is primarily to get more defined and conditioned. Higher reps DOES support gaining definition to a degree, we’ve gone over that in the past and you can see my explanation here.

Thanks again for your awesome support and friendship on the forum. Thanks to those who have been touching base on my Facebook page and sending shout outs on Twitter.

Make sure to check out the new MD Interview with Shawn Ray. It’s a must see, Shawn and the team at Muscular Development did an outstanding job helping me tell the story of my bodybuilding career.

I’m looking forward to more interviews in the next few weeks, with MD, as well as Off Topic Radio, where I get to talk about what’s really on my mind: YOU. The LevroneReport.com family and what our overall goals are in the present and future.

Hour Cardio • Over 100 Ab Crunches • 12-Minute Sauna

UPDATE: Banged out 105 pushups, check the 100 Pushups Challenge thread in the forum. Hollander and Rishi complete 100. Thanks to everyone who participated so far. Who’s going to stay on top?

Another day, another demolition. Tearing my body down, burning fat, taxing my muscles. Plain and simple.

This isn’t the glamorous side of training, but it is what must take place. I know you feel me on this.

Just like you, I work alone. For my OWN sense of accomplishment. To be what I envision. To take what’s mine – not for the stage necessarily, but for the stage of life.

Many unsung champions toil in anonymity. You are one of them. Moments alone, grinding out reps in an indifferent world.

Until, one day, you rise up with new power and new stature. You become something more, something inspiring.

We are soldiers here. At LevroneReport.com, our mission is to take up the challenge. To do whatever it takes to be effective. To be more than talk.

To follow our hearts, instead of meeting someone else’s expectation of who we are supposed to be in this life. That is the battle of champions everywhere. The battle to define our own paths.

No soldier will be left behind. Stay focused. Visualize. To be defined is to be re-defined. To come into clarity and focus. This is my journey, I’m sharing it with you, and I thank you for your support.

I thank you for fighting, driving me forward, watching my back, and taking your journey alongside me.

Peace

LevroneReport.com 100 Pushup Challenge

Here’s something to push you in the weeks leading up to LevrOlympia: the 100 pushups challenge.

It’s an age-old paradox about bodybuilders. Show me a guy who can bench 400 lbs and I’ll show you a guy who can’t do a measly 60 pushups. What’s up with that?

The answer to that is a subject for another post, and if you have your theories, explain them below. It’s just a different use of muscle, most bodybuilders just don’t have the kind of fibers and conditioning to bang out 100 pushups.

But how can you call yourself lean & mean if you can’t bang out 100 pushups? That’s why I set my mind to achieving it before LevrOlympia.

Here’s my first effort below. Take a look and see if you can bury me. If you can, then you can walk proud and say, “wow, I can’t believe I can do more pushups than Kevin Levrone.”

But there’s a catch. You gotta post it here, in the 100 Pushups Youtube Group. And preferably, post one now, so we can see where you’re at, and post again later, when you get to 100 pushups. See if you can get there before I can. Be sure to embed the video at the 100 Pushup Challenge Forum Topic in the Levrone Report Forum. Once again, it’s on!

Levrone, out.

Lunges, 30-Rep Challenge

Doing an hour of lunges without stopping will change you. You might not be able to move the next day. Nonetheless I’m going to ask you to try to get 30 reps. Watch the video, see how I do it, and give it your best shot. You might want to give up at three reps, but I know you won’t.

Lunges are a great aerobic workout combined with strength training. That’s what I need right now. Working core strength, getting the heart rate up, burning fat, building in layers of solidity and balance.

You don’t see lunges like these every day. Even more rare is a lunge properly performed. Like pro bodybuilding itself, it’s a combination of strength and grace.

When all the cameras are off, you’ll find me in the gym doing an hour of lunges like this. Plus, an hour of cardio in the morning…and an hour of cardio at night…and weight training, too.

And the diet. No cheating. When was the last time you went a month, a week, a day without cheating? Try it, and know the life a champion before battle. Protein, vegetables, water. Fork down. Repeat.

This is BATTLE, plain and simple. Reminds me of the good old days. Back when failure was not an option – back when the stage loomed ahead and all that mattered was victory. As hard as it is, I MISS this feeling, I’m relishing every minute of it.

What about you? Can you understand the mindset I’m talking about? Join me. Let’s do this.

We’re a few weeks away from LEVROLYMPIA, baby. There will be a thread on the forum, and you’re all invited to the stage for a posedown against Kevin Levrone at a lean, mean 220 lbs. TSSSSH-BAM!

Peace

120 Shoulders + 120 Push Ups = 240 Complete Reps

Give this a try today. It’s about getting cut, high reps, intensity and focusing in. I could gone heavier but that’s not what this workout is about.

This is the fourth and final set. Normally I’d rest 30 seconds between each round, but I had to take about 2 minutes to set up the camera and explain. Whole thing should take about ten minutes.

I used tens, fifteens, twenties, but you can go from ten to fifteen and then fifteen again, or go back to ten, it all depends on what you can handle. Just try to finish.

Immediately following this I went to 100 Cybex machine ab crunches, non-stop, 100 hyperextensions for the core, non-stop, 50 side serratus crunches (Cybex), 50 right, 50 left.

All this was after an hour of cardio, no eating all day so far. I’ll have six pieces of salmon, two per meal. Vegetables, grilled onions, lots of water. The fat from the salmon skin will keep me going so I don’t need carbs.

I went to the OCB Eastern Regional yesterday. I wrote all about it in the forum, here. Please check it out and let me know what’s up.

Cardio

Gotta get cut. Failure is not an option. So the past few days have been all about cardio. An hour in the morning on an empty stomach, AND and hour at night.

Thanks to community leader Raul Cruz for his recent cardio vids – every bit of inspiration helps, bro, and your 2-hour cardio workouts are full-blown.

All of you guys, your videos and updates are appreciated by the community. I always check the forum AND the Youtube Group for new videos, and nothing gets past me. I see all of it and it’s the lifeblood of the community. Keep it up.

Thanks to everyone who posted on the MD forum thread. The In The Trenches video with Shawn Ray and me will be up soon. Also, I’ll be posting some more big workouts in the gym this week.

Good news: The comments feature has been changed back to the old way. Now it should be easy to comment so please do so.

Peace

In The Trenches With Shawn Ray & More

Just a heads up to let you know I filmed an “In The Trenches,” segment with Shawn Ray and it will be featured soon. You can follow the thread on Muscular Development’s forum page for updates. We worked chest. It’s being edited now and will be up shortly.

There were photos shot by the multi-talented Natalie Minh, and she has several of them posted here.

Tomorrow, I’ll be on MD Radio with Shawn Ray, April 5th at 4pm PST / 7pm EST. Gunter Schlierkamp and Marcus Haley will also be on the show. I’m going to be representing the community and it would mean a lot to me if you guys checked it out.

Happy Holidays if you celebrated this week. Hopefully you have all your cheat meals behind you and you’re ready to hit the ground running tomorrow. And I do mean literally. We got a lot of work to do – so let’s get down to business.

Don’t forget to VISUALIZE right now what your body will be like for the end of April. Tell the community and me what you’re seeing for yourself.

Tough Back Workout

Banging out a tough back day, four exercises, high reps, 90 second rest between sets. I have a spotter pushing me to the limit and I’m demonstrating some new movements.

Different machines, different grips, switching it up. In my last exercise I switch grips MID SET. Check it out.

Shout out to Michel R, he’s getting ripped due to his dedication, intensity and discipline. We all have to keep up. Thanks for the inspiration, bro, along with all of you putting in the effort and sharing with the community.

Doing this together really works – we’re pushing each other to be better. For all of us, the shirt comes off late April, one big thread on the forum. Our own Olympia stage and you’re invited no matter what level you’re at, as long as you train full-blown this month. YOUR TIME HAS COME. HOLD NUTHIN’ BACK. LET’S DO THIS.

Peace
